Vol 16: Bonus Spotlight: Livewire

Welcome back friends to Femme Thee Comic! On this last Friday of Black History Month, aka February, I wanted to do another character spotlight. This spotlight is going to a new heroine that I was just made aware only a few months ago but who has been on the scene for 23 YEARS.........and her name is Amanda McKee, aka Livewire, hailing from Valiant Comics.

Amanda McKee, aka Livewire, is a solider, she protected civilians around the world, she is a fighter, she is a guardian who protects not only the population, but also others like her, the most. You may be asking, what do I mean by others like her, well Livewire is a psoit, basically a high power machine being. She can control electricity and technology. She can hack, control, create and so much with ease, and she uses her powers for good, until it she was made into a fugitive because according to the narrative, she turned her back on the human race and launched an attack to protect her and other psoits from danger, which killed many innocents. She is trying to clear her name and image not only with the survivors of the attack, but with other psiots, but they don't see it for her unfortunately. She is on a mission to find a place, with others like her, to go to a place they can call home where no one will bother them, but its not as simple.

I stumbled across two volumes of Livewire about a few months ago, and I must say that it has been a great pleasure reading these volumes and discovering this new characters I knew nothing about, AND she's a black woman with locs, I have to stan and you should too. This powerful woman is way to powerful to go unnoticed, so tap in as Saweetie would say.
